Refund policy

At Bateau and Co, we want you to love our goods as much as we do; if you are not satisfied with the condition of your goods upon arrival, please follow the instructions below or for additional questions, please contact us at bateauandco@gmail.com.

RETURNS INFORMATION

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at bateauandco@gmail.com. Please provide the email address associated with the order and the corresponding order number. Once our team approves the return, you will receive the necessary information to commence the return procedure.

If your return is accepted, we will provide you instructions on how and where to send your package.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at bateauandco@gmail.com.

RETURNS INFORMATION - FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ITEMS

In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund if an item is:

  • Faulty
  • Significantly different from the description
  • Not fit for purpose

Please contact us as soon as possible at bateauandco@gmail.com if you believe your item falls under this category, and include clear photos and your order details. We’ll cover the return shipping cost in these cases.

RETURNS INFORMATION - SALE ITEMS AND GIFT CARDS

Unfortunately, we do not accept change-of-mind returns on sale items or gift cards.

However, if a sale item is faulty or misdescribed, it is still eligible for a return under Australian Consumer Law.

EXCHANGES

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to swap an item, please return it (if eligible), and place a new order once your refund has been processed.

CANCELLATIONS

Orders can only be cancelled within 24 hours of being placed, as we aim to dispatch items quickly. If your order has already been processed, we cannot cancel it.
